On a lovely mid-May weekend I was fortunate enough to join Artomedes Photography on day 2 of Richard and Danielle’s incredible Wedding weekend! After starting the first day at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion, I joined them on a fine Saturday morning at St Peter’s Church in Brighton and then to the stunning grounds of Wakehurst Place for the reception.
It was a gorgeous set up at St Peter’s with bright and colourful flowers adorning the aisle, and a giant LOVE sign at the altar. Having not attended the bridal prep, I was just as blown away as the guests by Danielle when she arrived in a stunning backless beaded gown.
After the ceremony the guests were treated to cupcakes with Danielle and Richard’s initials and then we headed outside for a quick confetti shot before migrating to Wakehurst Place, where the reception was soon to begin. As Danielle, Richard and Mona of Artomedes Photography took a stroll around the grounds, I stayed with the guests as they enjoyed canapés and drinks and were serenaded with music. There was even a game of Duck, Duck, Goose!
When our lovely Bride and Groom returned it was time to cut the cake and head inside for the wedding breakfast, where each table was named after a herb. The rooms looked great- continuing the bright floral theme, every table was lavishly decorated with Sunflowers and Peonies.
During the Wedding Breakfast there were heaps of speeches- as is tradition for Caribbean weddings, and they were very well received by the guests, from laughter to tears, it really was a journey through a spectrum of emotion!
As more evening guests arrived, we were all lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset outside, and Wakehurst Place was transformed into somewhere even more magical. – Cue first dance and a very lively dancefloor!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to Mona for having me along, she was awesome to work with, and another big thank you to Danielle and Richard- Congratulations! I wish you both every happiness in your married life together.
